PROGRAMME UPDATE
Updated - December 2026
After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to bring this iteration of the Video Games Ambassadors programme to an end. The current market conditions make it unsustainable for us to continue VGA in its existing form. However, we continue to believe strongly in the value and importance of connecting the games industry with schools, to inspire the next generation, open young people’s eyes to the varied career paths within games, and support diversity and inclusion within the sector.
We have built tremendous value in the idea of an ambassadors programme. Even though we cannot continue right now, we are not abandoning that vision. When market conditions improve, we will review the situation with the goal of developing proposals for a future ambassadors initiative, one that draws upon all we have learned and the strong foundation of VGA remains in place.
While this version of the VGA programme will end, there are still plenty of ways to get involved with Ukie, Digital Schoolhouse and other initiatives. These include but are not limited to, mentoring a team at the Ukie Student Game Jam, and or joining the Into Games Volunteer network.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and championed the programme. Your involvement has made a real difference, and we look forward to sharing future developments when we are able.
